How to certify your documents in uae [Marriage Certificate]

This blog is based on how I processed my documents and I just hope that this will help our fellow kababayans.

Below steps that needs to be processed in Phillipines
1. You can apply for an NSO copy of your marriage certificate from the Philippine Statistics Authority website on ecensus. This will take time depending on the delivery location, visit ecensus delivery status to check delivery timings of requested documents. If you need documents urgently then a Serbilis Centers can help you on requesting your documents for 1-2 working days. Check out the nearest Serbilis Center near you from serbilis locator link.
2. Wait until the documents are done and delivered to your delivery location.

Note:
You can personally process the documents above if you are on vacation in Philippines or if you have a relative that can do the processing for you then you must prepare an authorization letter for them.

Proceed here if you are done with the above
3. Once you have the documents, please bring the documents to DFA (Department of Foreign Affairs) for red ribbon. Check your nearest DHL branch if they are able to do the same process for you and send it back to the same DHL branch or to your home address.
4. With the DFA red ribbon stamped on your documents, send it to UAE (United Arab Emirates) Embassy in Manila for authentication. Check your nearest DHL branch if they are able to do the same process for you and send it back to the same DHL branch or to your home address or UAE address.

Note:
Check whether your nearest DHL branch can process the DFA red ribbon and UAE Embassy in Manila authentication together on your requested documents.
Documents with red ribbon is only valid for 1 year.

Below steps that needs to be processed in United Arab Emirates
1. Once you have received your documents, please make sure that the DFA red ribbon and UAE Embassy authentication stamp are present.
2. Go to the nearest Philippine Consular Office (Consulate). For Dubai residents please go to Al Qusais
3. File a request for authentication and stamping of your documents. This will take 2-3 working days. Take note that this step is only applicable for marriage certificate. Please go to step 4 if you are authenticating TOR or diploma.
4. For final processing you need to bring your authenticated documents to MOFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs UAE). They will check for 3 things:
- Your marriage certificate with DFA red ribbon
- UAE Embassy stamp from Philippines
- Philippine Consulate stamp

5. In less than an hour(depends on how long is the queue) you will receive the documents with the MOFA stamp.
